ICAR Sponsored Winter School on Integrated Black Soldier Fly Technology for Sustainable Waste Utilization, Organic Compost and Aquafeed Production

CAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (ICAR-CMFRI), Kochi, is organizing an ICAR Sponsored Winter School on “Integrated Black Soldier Fly Technology for Sustainable Waste Utilization, Organic Compost and Aquafeed Production” from 10 to 30 November 2026. The programme focuses on innovative Black Soldier Fly technology for waste valorization, organic compost production and sustainable aquafeed development. The key learning areas include BSF biology and mass rearing, waste management and substrate preparation, larval processing and value addition, production of organic compost (frass), formulation of BSF-based aquafeeds, and hands-on training and field visits.
