Background: I completed my Bachelor of Fisheries Science from College of Fisheries, Mangalore and there after Master of Fisheries Sciences (Fisheries Resource Management) and Ph. D in Fisheries Resource Management from Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Mumbai, during which I worked on micro algae and seaweeds. Presently working on biology and fishery of pelagic resources of the Indian EEZ, for their sustainable exploitation and resource management. Other research interests include; finfish taxonomy and seaweeds.
