
Training
By conducting regular on and off campus trainings, KVK, Ernakulam creates awareness among farmers and motivates them for adopting modern technologies. KVK imparts hands-on training to practicing farmers, farm women and rural youth and extension personnel by following the method of “learning by doing”. Since its inception the KVK has organized more than 670 training programmes having durations of 1 to 30 days, covering more than 13000 villagers including farmers, fishermen, farm labours and rural youth and women.

Selection of Trainees
The training is free of cost and the Kendra provides refreshments to the trainees. Trainees are selected based on eligibility criteria such as age, income and other socio economic factors. Aptitude, willingness and availability of raw materials will be ensured for selecting trainees for vocational training.
