The KVK Ernakulam is under the technical control of Zonal Project Directorate (Zone VIII) located at Bangalore.The local programmes are formulated in consultation with Director of Extension of Kerala Agricultural University Thrissur. The Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) chaired by the Director, CMFRI provide necessary guidelines, leadership and suggestions for the effective functioning of the KVK. The SAC members include the district heads of various departments, scientists of nearby research institutions, farmer representatives and social workers from Ernakulam district.
